Course Goals

Our classes are intended to fully prepare parents-to-be for the entire birth experience. It is our goal at CET to help introduce parents to the normal process of labor and birth and to the many choices in childbirth that they have available. Our classes are designed to not only help families learn about the basics of the birth process, but to also help them feel more equipped for the journey.

Times and Location

Our classes are offered in two formats, a self-paced format and a live online format. Classes include presented instruction, video watching, discussion (live Zoom), and small group activities(live Zoom).  New parents will be able to ask questions in a few ways- the self-paced format allows for new parents to reach out directly to the instructor via email with questions, and Zoom participants will ask questions in real time.

Parents have expressed that this relaxed format allows for an information experience from the comforts of home.  It has also enhanced the ability of partners to take the course together, even when work or life circumstances won’t allow them to be in the same space for each class session.  Individuals can connect to the internet from anywhere they have internet access!

Fees

The cost for our prepared childbirth class series which is live via Zoom is $140. The introductory registration fee for the online, self-paced course is $79(2024); and $99(2025).

Fees include a ticket into a class series for mom and one birthing partner. Friends/Family that are pregnant at the same time are welcome in class, however, both pregnant mothers must register for a space in class. Parents choosing the self-paced course may share some content with others on their birth team, but should not share logins with other expectant families as they need their logins.

Special Accommodations

We are happy to assist in placing families into the class that they prefer.  If you would like to register with other people, or perhaps you need a specific class due to scheduling-just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate special requests.
